Play Game

Ecuador Gold is a 6-reel, 4,096 ways to win slot from Scientific Games where you get to explore the lost Temple of Luck. Playable from 20p to £100 per spin on all devices, you head to the South American rainforest in search of gold.

The game window of the Ecuador Gold slot is set inside a chamber of the Temple of Luck, appearing completely frameless and flanked by two temple columns with tribal patterns. Eternal flames illuminate the chamber that is ornamented with Aztec masks, statues, and scattered gold coins. A tribal soundtrack creates a suspenseful air throughout the gameplay.

The authentic Aztec design continues with the pay symbols which can all appear in single 1×1, super 2×2, mega 3×3, and epic 4×4 sizes, except the bonus symbol and the wild symbol. All big symbol sizes will crush the symbols below them, except the wild and bonus symbols, and fall to the bottom of the game window.

You will find at the low end, eight Aztec-style crafted stones depicting stars, two types of crosses, suns, crocodiles, snakes, birds, and leopards. The premium symbols are three golden Aztec masks and the explorer Kane himself.

An intricate tile with a golden sun is the wild symbol. This appears on reels three to six only and substitutes for all other symbols, except ghosting wilds and scatters. Scatters are another intricate tile showing Kane in front of the Temple of Luck, marked with the word ?Bonus’.

There’s also a wild symbol which performs all the usual substituting duties – there’s also a ghosting wild which appears on columns 3, 4, 5 and 6. It moves a random number of steps leaving a trail of wilds behind. These wilds become sticky for the remaining free drops in the feature.

Now, the game uses an Avalanche feature – when symbols are part of a win, they explode to leave space for additional symbol drops. This continues as long as new winning combinations appear. Each win will increase the number of rows meaning the number of ways to win increases – it goes from 4,096 to 15,625 to 46,656, 117,649 and finally 262,144 ways to win.

Ecuador Gold also benefits from a Free Drops Bonus feature – this is played when you get 3 or more Temple of Luck bonus scatters anywhere on the reels. 3, 4, 5 or 6 scatters will reward you with 10, 15, 20 or 25 free spins respectively. You can retrigger the feature giving you a total of 50 free spins/drops.

Once you begin, you will play on the usual 4 row reel set – every new free drop that gives you a win will increase the safety level giving you an extra row. This will lead to more ways to win:

  • 4 rows = 4,096 ways to win
  • 5 rows = 15,625 ways to win
  • 6 rows = 46,656 ways to win
  • 7 rows = 117,649 ways to win
  • 8 rows = 262,144 ways to win

Free drop bonus game

Three or more bonus symbols trigger the Free drop bonus game. With up to 25 free drops, the bonus also includes expanding safety levels for each win until the maximum ways to win has been reached, and indestructible wilds increasing the chances to get an epic win!

Ghosting wilds

The ghosting wild can appear in any symbol drop in the base game, and when it does it moves a random number of steps in any direction leaving wilds behind. If the ghosting wild moves on to a bigger symbol, it turns the whole symbol wild.

Super, Mega and Epic symbol

All low, mid and high value symbols exist in four different sizes, ranging from standard 1×1, to super 2×2, to mega 3×3 and all the way up to massive epic 4×4.

Whenever you hit a winning combination, an “avalanche” occurs. What this means is that the winning symbols disappear and new symbols fall into their places. It allows for multiple wins to be made on a single stake to enhance your overall winning potential.

Three bonus symbols will trigger the free spins bonus, or rather, the free drops round with 10 free drops. If you get four bonus symbols, you win 15 free drops, whilst five and six bonus symbols earn you 20 and 25 free drops respectively.

It is fairly easy to set your bet for Ecuador Gold. Just wait until the slot has fully loaded, and then you will be able to set your bet level using the control panel underneath the reels. It can be tempting to bet a high number, especially if you are hoping for a big win, but you should always choose a bet level that suits your budget. This means that you will be taking less of a risk, and you will be able to spin the reels for longer, which means that you are more likely to encounter the special symbols and bonus features in the game!

Once you have set your wager, you can start to spin the reels. If you want you can do this yourself using the play button, which means that you have to press ?play’ every time you want the reels to change.

Alternatively, you can use the useful Autoplay feature to spin the reels a specific amount of times (such as 10 spins or 20 spins), which means that the reels will keep turning while you do other things. This is useful if you are multitasking, but it is important to be aware that the Autoplay feature can be less exciting than actually spinning the reels yourself

For the avoidance of doubt, a bet remains valid even if the result cannot for any reason be displayed back to your handset (due, for example, to a network failure, interruption of communication, or if you receive a phone call). In the event of a game termination, any relevant jackpot will be paid out on a random draw authorised by the regulator.
